Senior Legal Counsel, APAC

We are partnering with a premier global manufacturer, a true hidden champion, to recruit a seasoned Senior Legal Counsel for their APAC region. This is a pivotal role for a strategic legal mind to become the cornerstone of the business's growth and integrity across Asia. Your Mission: - Serve as a trusted legal advisor to the business on all transactional and compliance matters, providing pragmatic and strategic counsel. - Draft, review, and negotiate critical commercial contracts to protect the company's interests across the APAC region. - Develop and implement preventative law programs, internal policies, and standard procedures to foster a culture of compliance. - Manage disputes and litigation efficiently by strategically collaborating with outside counsel. - Partner with the global legal team on international projects, with opportunities for global business travel.

This role is for you if you are: - A qualified lawyer in China with over 10 years of broad-based corporate/commercial law experience, gained from a combination of a top-tier law firm and an in-house position at a multinational corporation. - An expert in reviewing, negotiating, and drafting a wide array of complex commercial agreements, including supply, sales, distribution, outsourcing, and IT contracts. - Well-versed in providing astute advice on compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory issues, with a keen eye for mitigating legal and business risks. - A self-starting professional with exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of working autonomously and as part of a global, collaborative team. - Ideally, possessing experience within the automotive or manufacturing industry, with an understanding of OE and supplier terms.
