Position Overview: The Global Procurement Manager – Industrial Components is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies for industrial parts and components, ensuring cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and supplier performance excellence. This role will lead cross‑regional procurement activities, manage key supplier relationships, and collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for industrial components (e.g., mechanical parts, electrical components, machined parts, fasteners, assemblies, etc.).
Conduct market analysis to identify new suppliers, technologies, and cost‑saving opportunities.
Drive category standardization and supplier consolidation across regions.
Supplier Management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to support global business needs.
Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, contracts, and long‑term agreements.
Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and cost.
Mitigate supply risks and ensure business continuity.
Cost Management & Optimization
Lead cost‑reduction initiatives through value engineering, competitive bidding, and alternative sourcing.
Analyze cost structures and benchmark pricing across global markets.
Support budgeting and forecasting for procurement‑related costs.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, quality, operations, and supply chain teams to align sourcing strategies with business requirements.
Support new product development (NPD) by sourcing components and managing supplier involvement early in the design phase.
Collaborate with regional procurement teams to ensure global alignment and execution.
Process & Compliance
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, global standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
Improve procurement processes, tools, and systems to enhance efficiency and transparency.
Maintain accurate documentation, contracts, and supplier records.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
7+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in global sourcing or category management.
Strong knowledge of industrial components and manufacturing processes.
Proven experience in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work in a global, cross‑functional environment.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Familiarity with quality systems (ISO, PPAP, APQP).
Strong understanding of global supply markets and cost drivers.
