Position Overview
The APAC IT Manager is responsible for leading all IT operations, infrastructure services, and regional support across the Asia-Pacific region. This role ensures the delivery of reliable, secure, and cost-effective IT services that align with global standards and regional business needs. The position requires strong leadership, cross functional collaboration, and the ability to manage both insourced and outsourced service models.
Key Responsibilities
Regional IT Leadership
• Provide leadership and direction to the APAC IT team, including engineers, analysts, and site support specialists across multiple countries.
• Ensure the team has the right structure, capabilities, and staffing levels to meet business demands.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop IT talent; build a high performing, customer focused organization.
IT Operations & Site Support
• Oversee day to day IT operations across APAC sites, ensuring stability, reliability, and timely issue resolution.
• Manage infrastructure services including network, hosting, endpoint, cloud, and on-site support.
• Lead refresh programs, hardware lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strategic Planning & Roadmap Development
• Develop and maintain regional IT roadmaps aligned with global IT strategy and business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Provide architectural guidance for regional projects and new technology deployments.
Budget & Vendor Management
• Manage regional IT budgets, including people, tools, hardware, software, and third-party services.
• Evaluate and manage strategic IT vendors; negotiate contracts and ensure service performance.
• Maintain the right balance of insourced and outsourced services to achieve cost effective operations.
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with global IT tower leads, BRMs, and business stakeholders to understand upcoming business needs.
• Partner with IT Security to ensure regional compliance, secure connectivity, and protection of IT assets.
• Support global initiatives and ensure APAC alignment with enterprise standards and governance.
Security, Compliance & Audit
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements.
• Support implementation of security controls, incident response processes, and risk mitigation measures.
• Monitor KPIs related to service health, reliability, capacity, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Experience
• 10+ years of total IT experience, including infrastructure, site support, service delivery, and IT operations.
• 3+ years of IT management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-site regional environment.
• Proven experience managing global or regional IT services and distributed teams.
• Strong background in IT architecture, cloud technologies, and security & compliance.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence engineers, PMs, BRMs, and senior executives.
• Strong vendor management, negotiation, and strategic partnership capabilities.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
