Job Description
Our client is a pioneering city commercial bank dedicated to innovation cross border financial services. As they are going to deepen their layout in the "Belt and Road Initiative" (BRI) ecosystem, they are now seeking several dynamic FI BD Director/VPs to be based in BJ, SH, TJ or Shenzhen, responsible for leading the expansion of its foreign bank client network and driving the growth of cross-border payment, trade, global markets business. This position requires some overseas business trips, primarily to BRI-related countries/regions.
Job Responsibilities :
1. Developing and executing a strategic BD plan to acquire and maintain cooperative relationships with foreign banks in BRI-involved countries, with a core focus on promoting cross-border payment business collaboration;
2. Proactively identifying, exploring, and securing new business opportunities, independently initiating and leading the negotiation of cooperation agreements with target foreign banks to achieve business growth targets;
3. Serving as the primary liaison for key foreign bank clients, providing tailored cross-border payment solutions and ensuring high-level client satisfaction to foster long-term, stable partnerships;
4. Conducting in-depth market research on the cross-border payment needs and trends in BRI markets, analyzing competitor dynamics, and providing actionable insights to optimize the bank's service offerings and BD strategies;
5. Collaborating closely with internal departments such as Operations, Risk Management, and Product Development to ensure smooth implementation of cross-border payment cooperation projects and resolve any operational or technical issues in a timely manner;
6. Tracking and reporting on the performance of FI BD activities (including client acquisition, business volume, and revenue contribution) and adjusting strategies based on performance data to drive continuous improvement.

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred;
2. 8+ years of relevant experience, meeting either of the following criteria: a) Rich experience in FI BD or international business within the banking industry, with a proven track record of developing foreign bank clients, especially in BRI markets; b) Experience as an Overseas Funding Manager in large-scale enterprises (multinational corporations or leading domestic companies), with a focus on cross-border capital flow, foreign cooperative resource development, or international financial cooperation;
3. Profound understanding of cross-border financial business logic, including familiarity with cross-border payment systems, international funding allocation mechanisms, and relevant regulations in both domestic and foreign markets;
4. Possessing a proactive and results-oriented work style, strong business insight, and the ability to independently develop cooperative resources and drive project implementation;
5. Excellent cross-cultural communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, capable of effectively communicating with decision-makers from foreign banks or international business departments of large enterprises;
6. Willingness to travel frequently at home and abroad; fluent English proficiency in both spoken and written, with proficiency in other BRI national languages being a plus;
7. Familiarity with BRI policies and market conditions is highly advantageous;
