AI PMO Lead

Role Overview The AI PMO will oversee the planning, governance, and execution of the company’s AI program portfolio. This role ensures alignment between AI strategy, technology roadmap, and business objectives. While experience in the financial industry is a plus, it is not mandatory. Key Responsibilities • AI Program Governance — Establish and maintain governance frameworks, standards, and processes for AI initiatives across the organization. • Portfolio & Roadmap Management — Manage the AI project portfolio, define priorities, allocate resources, and track progress against milestones. • Cross functional Coordination — Work closely with data science, engineering, product, compliance, and business teams to ensure smooth end to end delivery. • Risk & Compliance Oversight — Identify and manage risks related to data, models, delivery, and operations; ensure compliance with data privacy and AI governance standards. • Vendor & Partner Management — Manage external AI vendors, cloud providers, and consulting partners to ensure quality and cost effective delivery. • Executive Reporting — Provide clear, structured updates to senior leadership on project status, risks, dependencies, and ROI. • Process Optimization — Continuously improve AI delivery processes, workflows, and PMO methodologies to enhance efficiency and scalability. • Change Management — Support organizational adoption of AI solutions through structured communication, training, and stakeholder alignment. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, Data/AI, Business, or related fields. • 5–10+ years of experience in project/program management, preferably with exposure to AI, data, or digital transformation. • Experience in financial services is a plus but not required. • Strong understanding of AI project lifecycles, including data pipelines, model development, deployment, and monitoring. • Proven ability to manage complex, cross functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem solving skills. • Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern delivery practices. Nice to Have • Experience working with AI governance frameworks or model risk management. • Background in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) or MLOps environments. • Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent.
