Sales Manager Pharmaceutical Packaging – China
Role Summary
This is a hunter-focused role responsible for driving new business acquisition in the pharmaceutical packaging sector across China. In addition to personal sales targets, the role includes some business development activities to match the SDS offering (products, regulatory, ….) to the requirements in the Chinese marketplace.
Sales Development (Hunter Focus)
Identify, prospect, and acquire new pharmaceutical packaging clients (pharma manufacturers, CMOs,).
Develop and execute territory plans to maximize new business opportunities.
Apply consultative selling to position packaging solutions tailored to client needs.
Maintain a robust pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting in CRM systems
Market & Strategy
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify growth opportunities.
Contribute to strategic initiatives for market penetration and share expansion.
Participation to exhibitions in China and potentially in Europe
Customer Engagement
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (procurement, R&D, industrialization, quality teams).
Conduct product presentations, workshops, and training sessions for clients.
Special focus on China generic companies and CDMO companies for domestic market and export markets.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Packaging Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
10 years of experience in B2B sales/business development within pharmaceutical packaging or allied industries.
