As our first dedicated Investor Relations hire focused on Greater China, you’ll serve as a strategic partner to the executive team. In coordinate with the CEO, you will be the primary point person for the communication and relationship strategy with venture capital firms, family offices, and institutional investors across mainland China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we are perceived by key stakeholders as we raise our next round(s) of capital.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fundraising Support: Partner with the executive team to drive fundraising strategy, including investor targeting, outreach, pitch preparation, and deal execution.
• Investor Storytelling: Localize and refine our investor materials (decks, financial models, memos) for Chinese-speaking audiences, aligning with local market expectations and cultural nuances.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with VCs, growth equity firms, corporate investors, and government-affiliated funds in Greater China.
• Market Intelligence: Provide feedback to the leadership team on investor sentiment, competitor positioning, and market trends relevant to capital raising in the region.
• Events & Roadshows: Coordinate and support investor meetings, roadshows, and virtual events in Greater China; occasionally travel for key meetings.
• Translation & Localization: Oversee or directly handle translation of critical investor materials into Mandarin with precision and tone fit for financial professionals.
• Investor Data Room Management: Ensure investor materials, due diligence docs, and updates are consistently accurate and accessible.
• Carta Capital Table and Equity Management: Full management of the Carta platform for Cap Table, company valuations, share plans and other fund administration.
职位要求
• Native or fluent in Mandarin Chinese, with strong professional fluency in English.
• 5+ years of experience in investor relations, venture capital, corporate finance, or fundraising roles, ideally in a startup or early-stage growth environment.
• Deep knowledge of the Greater China investor ecosystem — including venture funds, family offices, government-backed funds, or cross-border LPs.
• Excellent communicator and confident storyteller, capable of translating technical or complex business concepts into compelling narratives.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Familiarity with Chinese regulatory and cultural expectations around cross-border investment and capital raising.
• Comfortable working across time zones and cultures with a global team.
Additional:
• Experience supporting a startup through Series A–C fundraising rounds.
• Network of contacts in the Chinese VC and LP community.
• Prior work experience in sectors like automotive, industrials, or mobility.
• Understanding of SAFE/Convertible structures or cross-border legal frameworks.
