IT Application Support Engineer

• Oversee daily operations of the reporting system, ensuring issues are identified, tracked, and resolved in collaboration with external vendors • Act as the liaison between business users, IT teams, and regulatory departments for system submissions and tasks • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support, delivering timely fixes and solutions • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot software issues to maintain stability • Manage deployment and upkeep of test environments, including configuration and performance tuning • Coordinate rollout of new releases, patches, and system changes • Partner with vendors to address technical incidents and implement required updates • Maintain a clear understanding of end to end reporting workflows and ensure compliance with information security standards • Take ownership of application related contracts and documentation

• Minimum 8 years of experience supporting local reporting systems in a banking environment • Direct experience engaging with regulatory bodies (CFETS, NFRA, PBOC, SAFE, etc.) • Self driven, able to report progress and escalate blockers effectively • Strong awareness of banking policies, risk controls, security requirements, and operational restrictions • Proficiency in English (spoken and written) for effective communication with stakeholders • Advanced skills in installation, configuration, and administration of Suse, RedHat, Tomcat, IBM MQ, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL • Familiarity with GBase is advantageous • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities • Exposure to DevOps practices is a plus
