Key Responsibilities
The Key Account Manager drives the full commercial lifecycle of assigned Mobility key accounts, from initial access to revenue realization through disciplined account execution.
Account ownership & Growth
Develop and execute focused account strategies for key OEMs and Tier 1s in NEV Powertrain and HVAC
Build and convert a robust and continuously growing qualified pipeline through direct engagement and distributor-enabled access
Deliver revenue, pricing, and design-win targets in line with agreed objectives
Drive design-ins and ensure successful commercialization through SOP
Customer Leadership
Build and own relationships across key stakeholders (engineering, purchasing, product management, senior leadership)
Lead complex, long-cycle technical sales processes from early engagement to nomination
Act as the primary commercial interface, ensuring responsiveness, execution discipline, and issue resolution
Drive RFQs, pricing discussions, and contract execution in alignment with global frameworks
Technical & Value-Based Selling
Translate application requirements into clear and differentiated customer value propositions
Drive design-in activities in close collaboration with Field Application Engineering
Ensure strong technical positioning throughout validation, sampling, and integration phases
Maintain rigorous project tracking from quotation through SOP
Cross-Functional & Local Coordination
Drive execution in alignment with Sales, Market Management, Product Management, and Channel Sales
Actively advocate customer priorities internally to support focus and resource allocation
Leverage distribution as a scalable access channel to unlock and accelerate OEM engagement, in alignment with Channel Sales
Ensure consistent execution across direct and distributor-driven opportunities
Your Profile
We are looking for a sales professional with a proven track record of winning complex automotive business and strong technical credibility in China.
Required Experience & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field. Technical background preferred. MBA is a plus.
Experience:
8–12 years of experience in automotive (OEM, Tier 1, or supplier) in roles such as key account management, strategic sales, or business development
Proven track record in design-in driven sales cycles and long-cycle opportunity conversion
Strong exposure to NEV Powertrain (including BMS) and/or HVAC ecosystems
Demonstrated success in penetrating and developing OEM / Tier 1 accounts in China
Experience leveraging distributors as part of a structured go-to-market model
Ability to operate effectively within global, matrix organizations
Commercial Leadership: Strong negotiation skills, structured and disciplined account planning, and experience driving profitable growth.
Communication & Influence: Ability to engage credibly with both technical and commercial stakeholders, internally and externally.
Language: Fluent in Mandarin and English (spoken and written).
What success looks like
Build and convert a strong qualified pipeline within the first 12–18 months
Secure design-ins in key NEV Powertrain and HVAC platforms with leading OEMs and Tier 1s
Establish effective and repeatable customer access through both direct engagement and distribution channels
Deliver sustained revenue growth and measurable account penetration in the China Mobility market
