Supply Chain Coordinator – Job Description
Position Overview
The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for supporting end‑to‑end supply chain operations, including order management, logistics coordination, inventory tracking, and communication with suppliers, customers, and internal teams. This role ensures smooth material flow, timely delivery, and accurate documentation to support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Order & Material Management
Process customer orders, purchase orders, and delivery requests accurately and on time.
Track order status and ensure timely fulfillment through close coordination with suppliers, logistics teams, and warehouses.
Monitor material availability and support production planning to avoid shortages or delays.
Maintain accurate data in ERP systems and ensure documentation completeness.
2. Logistics Coordination
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners.
Prepare shipping documents, packing lists, and customs paperwork when required.
Monitor transportation schedules and proactively resolve delivery issues.
Support logistics cost tracking and performance reporting.
3. Inventory Control
Assist with inventory monitoring, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation.
Identify discrepancies and work with warehouse teams to resolve issues.
Support inventory optimization initiatives to reduce excess and improve turnover.
4. Supplier & Customer Communication
Act as a communication bridge between suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Follow up on delivery schedules, order confirmations, and shipment updates.
Handle customer inquiries and provide timely, accurate information.
Escalate supply issues and support root‑cause analysis.
5. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on orders, inventory, and logistics performance.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, transactions, and supply chain activities.
Support audits and compliance requirements.
6. Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Support implementation of digital tools such as ERP, WMS, and TMS.
Participate in cross‑functional projects to enhance supply chain performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
1–3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or planning.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving capability.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
Team‑oriented with a proactive mindset.
