1. Government, Regulator & Public Sector Engagement
• Develop and maintain senior level relationships with Chinese regulators and government stakeholders.
• Build strategic partnerships with major public sector institutions, including policy banks and export credit agencies.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure full compliance with local requirements for representative office operations.
• Represent the bank in official meetings, industry forums, and diplomatic or multilateral events.
2. Financial Institution (FI) Relationship Management
• Lead relationship development with major Chinese commercial banks, joint stock banks, city commercial banks, and non bank financial institutions.
• Promote the bank’s capabilities and facilitate bilateral cooperation across trade finance, treasury, and lending activities.
• Support correspondent banking, clearing arrangements, and cross border settlement initiatives.
3. Cross Border Trade Finance & Transaction Banking
• Drive China–Africa trade finance flows, including letters of credit, guarantees, supply chain finance, and structured trade solutions.
• Coordinate with Chinese banks and export credit agencies on ECA backed financing and project finance opportunities.
• Support RMB clearing, FX solutions, and cross border payment activities.
4. Market Intelligence & Strategic Advisory
• Provide headquarters with insights on China’s financial sector, regulatory landscape, and opportunities for strategic cooperation.
• Prepare briefings, reports, and recommendations for senior management.
• Support high level visits, institutional roadshows, and government delegations.
5. Representative Office Management
• Oversee daily operations of the Beijing Representative Office in accordance with local regulations.
• Manage reporting, budgeting, compliance, and external communications.
• Supervise local staff and maintain strong relationships with service providers and authorities.
