The Head of Overseas Business is a critically strategic role responsible for building and leading our international operations from the ground up. This individual will be the cornerstone of our global ambitions, requiring a rare blend of strategic sales, operational management, solution design, and financial acumen.
You will be tasked with developing a comprehensive overseas business strategy, establishing and managing local teams, driving revenue growth, forming strategic partnerships, and potentially leading capital-raising and M&A activities to accelerate market penetration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scaling businesses internationally, with experience comparable to leaders in global industrial giants like Haier and Midea.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Business Development:
· Develop and execute the overarching global business strategy, including market entry, segmentation, and long-term growth plans.
· Identify, evaluate, and penetrate new international markets, establishing a strong and sustainable market presence.
· Drive the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiating and closing major contracts with global clients and distributors.
· Build and maintain a robust pipeline of international opportunities.
2. Operational & Team Management:
· Build, lead, and mentor high-performing, multi-cultural salesand business development teams across different regions.
· Set clear performance objectives (KPIs), provide regular coaching, and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
· Oversee all aspects of international operations, including supply chain coordination, logistics, and customer service, ensuring alignment with headquarters.
3. End-to-End Solution Architecture:
· Move beyond product sales to become a trusted advisor to global clients.
· Design and present comprehensive, customized solutions that address complex client challenges, integrating our products with value-added services.
· Collaborate closely with R&D and product development teams to tailor offerings to the specific needs of international markets.
4. Capital & Financial Strategy:
· Partner with the CFO and CEO to develop financial models and business cases to support international expansion initiatives.
· Possess a strong understanding of capital markets and corporate finance to support potential fundraising activities (debt/equity) for global projects.
· Lead or support strategic initiatives, including Joint Ventures (JVs), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and strategic alliances to fuel rapid growth.
· Manage the P&L for all overseas operations, ensuring profitability and return on investment.
