The Operation Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of daily warehouse operations within a chemical storage facility. This role ensures safe handling, storage, and distribution of hazardous and non‑hazardous chemicals while maintaining full compliance with regulatory standards. The manager leads warehouse teams, optimizes operational workflows, and drives continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
Warehouse Operations Management — Oversee daily inbound, outbound, and internal material movements to ensure timely and accurate processing of chemical products.
Chemical Safety Compliance — Ensure all operations comply with local, national, and international chemical regulations (e.g., GHS, SDS management, dangerous goods handling).
Inventory Control — Maintain accurate stock levels through cycle counts, audits, and system updates; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Team Leadership — Supervise warehouse staff, provide training on chemical handling and safety procedures, and ensure high performance and accountability.
Process Optimization — Identify operational bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen safety.
Emergency Response Management — Lead emergency preparedness planning, spill response coordination, and incident reporting.
Equipment & Facility Oversight — Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of forklifts, PPE, fire‑suppression systems, and chemical storage infrastructure.
Documentation & Reporting — Maintain accurate operational records, safety logs, compliance documentation, and KPI reports.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination — Collaborate with logistics partners, transport providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
