The Logistics Manager is responsible for the execution of logistics strategies aimed at ensuring products are delivered in full and on time across various global markets. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to optimize warehousing operations, inventory management as well as international and/or regional freight costs, contributing to cost-saving and operational efficiency initiatives. Leading a dedicated team, responsible for managing all relevant customs documentation, ensuring smooth cargo clearance and mitigating any potential issues related to compliance and regulations.
Logistics Execution & Delivery Performance
•Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics and warehousing activities to meet agreed service levels and delivery commitments.
•Monitor and resolve delivery risks, delays, and disruptions, taking proactive action to minimise customer and commercial impact.
•Track and report on logistics performance metrics (e.g. OTIF, lead times), driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives, particularly where targets are not met.
Freight & Cost Optimisation
•Manage international and/or regional freight operations, including 3PL warehousing, carrier selection and routing decisions, in line with agreed cost and service strategies.
•Identify and implement freight cost optimisation opportunities in collaboration with Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial teams.
•Monitor freight costs and variances, ensuring transparency and timely escalation of cost or capacity risks.
Customs, Compliance & Risk Management
•Lead and oversee the preparation and management of all customs documentation to ensure accurate, timely cargo clearance.
•Ensure logistics operations comply with relevant local and international trade, customs, and regulatory requirements.
•Proactively identify and mitigate customs, compliance, and regulatory risks that could impact cost, timelines, or service.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
•Lead, coach, and develop the logistics team to deliver consistent, high-quality logistics outcomes.
•Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and external partners to support end-to-end delivery objectives.
•Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics processes, systems, and ways of working.
