Position Overview
The APAC Logistics Head is responsible for leading and optimizing all logistics operations across the Asia-Pacific region, including inbound logistics, outbound distribution, warehousing, transportation, and 3PL management. This role ensures operational excellence, cost efficiency, service reliability, and compliance with global standards while supporting the company’s manufacturing and commercial growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Logistics Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute the APAC logistics strategy aligned with global supply chain objectives.
Lead regional logistics teams across multiple countries and manufacturing sites.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels, cost efficiency, and operational resilience.
2. Logistics Operations Management
Oversee end-to-end logistics operations: inbound materials flow, outbound finished goods distribution, warehousing, and transportation.
Ensure optimal inventory flow and logistics support for manufacturing plants and regional distribution centers.
Monitor and improve key KPIs including OTIF, lead time, logistics cost, warehouse productivity, and safety.
3. 3PL / Supplier Management
Select, negotiate, and manage 3PL partners, freight forwarders, and transportation providers.
Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure compliance with service-level agreements.
Drive competitive bidding and cost optimization initiatives.
4. Compliance, Risk & Quality
Ensure logistics operations comply with regional regulations, customs requirements, and trade compliance policies.
Implement risk mitigation strategies for supply disruptions, transportation delays, and capacity constraints.
Maintain high standards of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) across all logistics activities.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, Customer Service, and Commercial teams to support business needs.
Collaborate with global logistics teams to align processes, systems, and best practices.
Support new product launches, plant expansions, and network optimization projects.
6. Digitalization & Process Improvement
Lead logistics digital transformation initiatives, including TMS/WMS enhancements, automation, and data analytics.
Standardize processes across APAC to improve visibility, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
10+ years of logistics or supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a regional leadership role.
Strong background in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
Proven experience managing multi-country logistics operations and 3PL partners.
Familiarity with APAC customs, trade compliance, and regulatory environments.
