Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute procurement strategy and annual sourcing plans for both direct and indirect categories; align procurement objectives with corporate goals and budgets.
Direct Procurement: Lead sourcing for raw materials, components, subcontracting and outsourced manufacturing; manage supplier selection, qualification, price negotiation, lead-time optimization and quality alignment.
Indirect Procurement: Oversee procurement of services, MRO, capital equipment, IT, marketing and facility-related spend; standardize processes and consolidate supplier base to drive savings and service improvements.
Supplier Management: Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships; implement supplier segmentation, performance scorecards, audits and development programs; drive supplier innovation and continuous improvement.
Contract Management and Compliance: Lead negotiation and execution of major contracts; ensure contract compliance, manage disputes, and mitigate commercial and regulatory risks.
Cost and Performance Management: Set and deliver cost savings targets, total cost of ownership (TCO) initiatives and procurement KPIs; report performance to senior leadership.
Team Leadership: Recruit, coach and develop procurement managers and category leads; set objectives, conduct performance reviews and build succession plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, operations, quality, finance, legal and logistics to support new product introductions, supplier transitions and supply continuity.
Digitalization and Process Improvement: Drive procurement digital initiatives (ERP, e-sourcing, SRM, analytics) and standardize processes to increase transparency and efficiency.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including single-source dependencies, geopolitical exposure, and price volatility; develop contingency and multi-sourcing strategies.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
Experience: Minimum 10 years in procurement with at least 5 years in a senior management role responsible for both direct and indirect procurement. Proven track record of delivering strategic sourcing, cost savings and supplier transformation.
Skills: Strong negotiation and commercial acumen; category management and strategic sourcing expertise; contract drafting and governance experience.
Leadership: Demonstrated people management experience, ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
Systems: Proficiency with ERP and e-sourcing tools; comfortable using procurement analytics and dashboards.
Language: Fluent in English; local language proficiency as required by location.
